The UltraLAN Copper Small Form Pluggable (SFP) transceivers are high performance, cost effective modules compliant with the Gigabit Ethernet and 1000BASE-T standards as specified in IEEE 802. 3-2002 and IEEE 802.3ab, which supports up to Gigabit data rates up to 100 meters in distance over unshielded twisted-pair CAT5 cabling.
The module supports 1000Mbps (or 10/100/1000Mbps) full duplex data-links with 5-level Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) signals. All four pairs in the cable are used with symbol rate at 250Mbps on each pair.
This SFP module is compatible with all vendor devices that has an SFP slot.

The UltraLAN FIB-MCGSFP is a media converter designed to convert fiber to 10/100/1000Base-T copper media or vice versa. The UltraLAN media converters are compatible with a wide range of transceiver modules, such as general 1000Base SFP transceiver modules, BiDi transceiver modules, CWDM transceiver modules, etc. The media converter is unmanaged and requires no configuration, simply plug-and-play.
Designed under IEEE802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE802.3z 1000Base-SX/LX standards, the FIB-MCGSFP is designed for use with multi-mode or single-mode fiber SFP modules. The fiber media converter supports 850nm/1310nm/1550nm wavelengths depending on the SFP module that is inserted.
