VLAN mode enables port isolation on ports 1-4 while Extender mode increases the transmission distance on ports 1-4 to 250m at 10Mbps. The watchdog function continuously monitors PoE connections when in VLAN or Extender Mode. If an error is detected on the device, the switch immediately restarts the port.
