Description
The UltraLAN Installer Series CAT5e Outdoor FTP Cable (CAB‑STP5ODU‑500I) is a 500m drum of UV‑resistant Ethernet cable designed for outdoor networking installations.
Featuring a drain wire for grounding, this cable reduces the risk of equipment damage from ESD or storm activity. Shielded RJ45 connectors should be used, and all power supplies/injectors properly grounded to maximize performance.
Built for harsh weather environments, the multi‑layered UV‑protected sheath ensures superior protection from the elements, while FTP (Foil Twisted Pair) shielding provides excellent external interference mitigation.
